Summer Golf Course Intern
Country Club in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan is looking for a Summer Golf Course Intern.

Position Overview:
Interns will be expected to be at each Committee Meeting to learn to the political/communication side of our operation, as well as be expected to give a short presentation to the Greens Committee in regards to their experiences here.

Requirements:
Currently enrolled in/interested in/recently graduated from a Certificate, Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program in Turfgrass Science or related Agronomy based field.
1-2 Years golf course experience preferred but not required.
Strong work ethic.
Cool Season Turfgrass management experience preferred, but not required – if you are eager to learn, we want to work with you to prepare you for a career in the Green Industry.

Compensation:
$17 – $18 per hour.
Housing provided.
Meals Provided while working.
Interns can gain their Spray Applicators certification in their time at CCD – allowing them to apply plant protectants throughout the property, and at future sites of employment.
PGA Tour Event Volunteer Experience (Rocket Mortgage Classic at Detroit Golf Club)
Networking opportunities, both with other local clubs, but also within our national network.
Greens Committee Meeting involvement.
Golfing Privileges.
