Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Country Club in Peoria, Illinois is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
This individual will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent in managing all aspects of the golf course and grounds. The assistant golf course superintendent schedules daily tasks, supervises and trains employees.

Responsibilities include:
• Scheduling and managing daily tasks.
• Chemical and Fertilizer applications.
• Irrigation repair and maintenance.
• Disease/ pest scouting and identification.
• Work with staff to ensure course is maintained based on our maintenance standards and agronomic plan.

Requirements:
2-3 years of golf course maintenance experience.
Minimum 2-year degree or certificate in agronomy or a turf-related field (Preferred).
Pesticide operators or applicators license or ability to obtain in 60 days.
Experience applying fertilizers and pesticides.
Experience operating and repairing irrigation systems.
Knowledge of IPM and disease management.
Work 40 hours a week, and every other weekend (during the season).
Communicate with membership in a positive and professional manner.
Highly motivated, and willingness to learn and grow in the industry.

Compensation:
$40,000 – $50,000 per year.
