Assistant Golf Course Superintendent-in-Training
Country Club in River Grove, Illinois is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent-in-Training.

Position Overview:
The right individual will be a core member of our team and have many opportunities to advance their career and education in the turf management industry. The position will give the individual a look at every facet of maintaining a golf course at the highest level. AIT’s will be given detailed training on several key areas of golf course management but not limited to:
• Mowing greens, approaches, tees, fairways, and rough.
• Rolling.
• Bunker maintenance.
• Golf course setup (cutting cups/moving tee markers).
• Aerification practices.
• Chemical and fertilizer calibration.
• Application of chemicals and fertilizers.
• Water management practices.
• Hand watering.
• Irrigation troubleshooting and repair.
• Agronomic philosophy.
• Cultural practices.
• Management skills.

Requirements:
A good work ethic, positive attitude, and goal-oriented personality are some of the attributes the right candidate will possess.
Currently enrolled in a 2-4 year degree or certificate program in turf management or related field.
Prefer at least 1 year of golf course maintenance but not required.

Compensation:
$19.00 – $21.00 per hour.
