Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Fort Gratiot Twp, Michigan is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
The position will report directly to the Golf Course Superintendent and requires managing all aspects of the golf course. Not limited to fertilizer and chemical application, irrigation maintenance and repair, water management, work-force scheduling, personnel management, and daily operations that maintain a safe and positive work environment.

Requirements:
Candidates will possess a 2-year Turfgrass Management Certificate or higher, in addition to a minimum of 2 years of on-course experience.
Applicant must be able to maintain a Michigan Pesticide License.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to inspect sites to detect safety concerns.
Must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner.

Experience in:
Properly apply fertilizer, chemical, seed, and pesticides.
Manage the application of irrigation to turfgrass and clubhouse grounds.
Maintain records of fertilizer and chemical application.
Identify pest populations and communicate threat level.
Daily scouting for irrigation abnormality and repair.
Ability to supervise, train, and work well with peers.

Compensation:
$40,000 – $55,000 per year.
