Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Boca Raton, Florida is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
The position reports to the Golf Course Superintendent, and will be a part of all aspects in the upkeep of the golf course. This will be managing a staff of 15 team members, and being able to follow up with all tasks around the course. Working knowledge of cultural practices, daily setup, course maintenance practices, and ability to identify weeds, pests and other problems.

Duties:
• Working knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and fix irrigation, and course problems.
• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Assist with daily staff scheduling.
• Moisture management.
• Record keeping and inventory (Fertilizer and chemical).
• Clean and organize storage areas.
• Train staff of proper and safe operation on all equipment.
• Strong and clear communication stills.
• Current Florida State Pesticide license or ability to obtain.

Requirements:
Turf management certificate or greater preferred.
One or more years of progressive experience in the turf management industry or related field.
Must have valid driver’s license.
Ability to obtain Florida pesticide license.
Passion for the game of golf.
Ability to calibrate and operate spray and fertilizer equipment.

Compensation:
$60,000 – $70,000 per year.
