Assistant Golf Professional
Country Club in Johnstown, Pennsylvania is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Assist with all activities relating to the management and execution of the club’s golf operation, including but not limited to both inside and outside golf events, outside staff service, golf shop, practice facilities, and instruction programs. The position of Assistant Golf Professional/External Intern will be a full-time job with a 40-hour work week paid hourly, overtime hours will be paid at 1.5 times normal rate. This will be a Seasonal/ position of 8-10 months and if you wish we will assist you in help locating Winter employment in Florida or the West Coast.

Responsibilities:
• Provide and ensure consistent quality service to Members and their guests.
• Assist Golf Professional with hiring, training, and overall supervision of outside staff.
• Plan events for Sunnehanna Amateur and Sunnehanna Senior Amateur.
• Manages the daily opening and closing of the Golf Shop as needed.
• Coordinates Junior Golf events including New Junior League.
• Coordinate and manage assigned Golf events.
• Assist with merchandise pricing and sales strategy.
• Provide instruction to all levels of players.
• Play Golf with the Members.
• Responsible for a clean safe work environment, with an emphasis on promoting Member and Staff health.

• Maintain a cheerful outlook toward Members and their guests as well as all staff members.
• Assist in operation of Caddy Program.
• Run GHIN/Golf Genius Tournament Software.
• Other responsibilities given by Golf Professional.

• Solid computer skills including Jonas, Word, Excel, GHIN, and Fore Tees.
• Love for merchandising.

Compensation:
$15.00 per hour.
