Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Links in Middletown, Delaware is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will be extremely driven in his or her career and willing to put in the necessary hours to be successful. Share a passion for golf and producing conditions that are consistent on a day-to-day basis.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Training staff.
• Implementing/delegating daily routines for grounds staff.
• Understanding basic fundamentals of turf maintenance.
• Operating turf machinery.
• Operating sprayers with calibration.
• Understanding chemicals and fertilizers used on golf courses.
• Operating and repair knowledge of irrigation systems.
• Landscape bed maintenance, flowers, and general knowledge of ornamental plants.
• Lifting 50lbs and long hours on feet.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Maintaining an organized record-keeping system.
• Communicating by email.
• Multitasking.
• Meeting deadlines.
• During the winter months expected to do snow removal.
• Etc.

Requirements:
2-4 year degree in related field.
1-4 years experience in a similar golf industry position.
Valid driver’s license.
Reliable transportation.
Positive attitude and team player.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Willing to do training (we have a sister course with a highly experienced Superintendent available to assist).

Compensation:
$45,000 – $50,000 per year.
