Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Hutchinson, Kansas is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Under general supervision of the Clubhouse Manager/Golf Professional, the Golf Shop Assistant provides superior customer service and supervisory duties related to daily operation. Responsibilities involve management of clubhouse operations including part-time employees, tournament operations, junior golf programs, maintaining golf cart fleet, promotion and facilitation of golf groups, fee collection, driving range operations, assistance in retail inventory, and all food/beverage operations. Daily activities include, but not limited to, assisting with customer issues, cash handling, accepting reservations, golf instruction, merchandise sales, golf equipment repair, course marshal, inventory control, and preparation of daily cash deposits and associated paperwork. Management reserves the right to add, modify, change or rescind the work assignments or to make reasonable accommodations so that qualified employees can perform the essential functions of the job. This position works directly under the Golf Professional and is responsible for making decisions when the they are not available. The Golf Shop Assistant should use sound judgment and be familiar with City policies and golf industry standards.

• Tournament operations
The Tournaments Director will help execute and operate all phases of tournament operations at our facility.
• Maintain golf cart fleet
Regularly clean and maintain all carts, including gators, to maintain a trouble-free operation.
• Clubhouse operations
Effectively handle high workloads, answer the phone, schedule tee times and assists guests as needed.
• POS system
Accurately manage the tee sheet, reports, money and ensure the register is always balanced.
• Leadership
In general, strive for excellence and inspiring others to do the same.
• Golf industry standards
Continue to stay knowledgeable of current equipment, golf industry standards and norms.
• Enforce the Municipal Golf Course rules and regulations
Comfortably handle uncertainty and hold things together during difficult times. Independently adhere to, enforce, and implement policies and procedures of the Carey Park golf course.
• Clubhouse upkeep
Ensures the clubhouse is presentable and ready for day-to-day operations.

Requirements:
PGA-PGM Level 1 Completed and in good standing with the PGA (preferred).
Minimum 2 years in the Golf Business.

Compensation:
$14.00 – $16.45 per hour.
