Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Presto, Pennsylvania is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
The Assistant will work closely with the Golf Course Supt and Senior Assistant to plan, direct and implement all aspects of golf course maintenance to ensure optimal playing conditions for our members. Candidates should be proficient in water management, capable of diagnosing diseases and insects, experienced in calibrating and applying fertilizers and plant protectants, well versed in course maintenance equipment operation, and training crew members to safely operate all type of mowers. This year we will be updating irrigation controllers, expanding some tees, resurfacing cart paths, purchasing another GPS sprayer, and striving to continually improve our operation.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree or graduate of two -year program in Turfgrass Management or related field of study.
Must possess a valid drivers license and have a PA Pesticide License (or able to obtain one within 90 days).
Minimum 3-5 years experience in golf course management, with some in a management role preferred.
Maintain a positive attitude throughout the season, and are expected to be flexible with their work hours and schedule during the golf season.
Previous experience working at detail oriented, high budget facility is preferred but not mandatory.
Operation of GPS sprayers and familiarity with bi-lingual crews are helpful but not a prerequisite.
Realize that good communication, organizational and record keeping skills are vitally important as you advance in your career.
Proficiency in drainage installation, adept at irrigation troubleshooting and repair, and able to operate tractors, skid loaders etc. are helpful.

Compensation:
$55,000 – $62,000 per year.
