Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Bristol, Virginia is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
The Assistant Superintendent position will work alongside the other assistants and directly with the Golf Course Superintendent in order to match or exceed the standards and expectations of the club. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to staff management, chemical applications, water management, record keeping, and communication with the GM, Owner, CFO, Golf Professional, as well as other club personnel. The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for assuming all duties of the Golf Course Superintendent in their absence.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have obtained a 2 or 4 year degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management or related field from an accredited university.
Candidates should have prior golf course management experience consisting of but not limited to 2-5 years working as a crew member, AIT, or an Assistant Superintendent at a similar facility.
The Assistant Superintendent must be self-motivated, work efficiently and diligently, be innovative and creative, possess a sense of urgency, possess a strong desire to become a golf course superintendent, and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
One must also be able to obtain a Virginia Pesticide Applicator’s license.
