Assistant Golf Professional
Country club in Castle Pines, Colorado is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Responsible for the day-to-day golf and tournament operations of the club. All functions of the position need to be performed with pride and commitment and total satisfaction of the membership and guests.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Provides assistance to the Head Golf Professional and Lead Assistant Golf Professionals in all facets of daily golf operations.
• Maintains PGA membership in good standing.
• Assist in the Inventory control of Hard Goods, Soft Goods, and Special Orders including: ordering procedures, receiving procedures, inputting into point of sale, pricing procedures, stocking (merchandising).
• Course play- Oversee the reservation system, starting, and monitoring of play and pace while enforcing the established rules and regulations governing the use of the golf course. Maintain accurate record keeping of rounds and guest fees.
• Assist in overseeing and manage an organized and orderly practice facility
• Assist in the Management of all golf related assets such as golf carts, range equipment, and electronic equipment.
• Bag storage- Ensure the proper storage, safety, cleaning, and repair or member club equipment.
• Maintain close working relationship with the Superintendent and other department heads
• Directly responsible for successful and professional operation of Outside Group Events which includes Coordinating the marketing and promotion of member play.
o Charity events, Pre-tournament contracts, correspondence and post Tournament billing and follow up.
• Directly responsible for providing individual or group instruction to the membership.
• Assist in the successful and professional operation of all Instructional Clinics & Junior Golf.
• Directly responsible for timely and consistently maintaining the club’s USGA Handicap System.
• Play golf with a variety of members in competitive and non-competitive situations.
• Maintain safety standards and safety equipment within OSHA standards.
• Additional responsibilities may be added during the golf season if management dictates circumstances.

Requirements:
Current PGA/LPGA Membership or Level 3 PGA Apprentice.
Associate’s degree (AA); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in organizing, promoting and conducting professionally run member tournaments and corporate outings.
Proficient in computer application including Word, Excel, POS, Tee Time Systems, Inventory Control Systems, Tournament Programs and Microsoft Outlook.
Knowledge of USGA Rules.
First Aid Certification (Offered by Club).

Compensation:
$35,000.00 per year.
