Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Course in Galena, Illinois is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
General duties and responsibilities include:
• Directs and supervises the maintenance of greens, fairways, tees, sand traps, bodies of water, roughs, maintenance shop and grounds, cart maintenance, and driving range.
• Oversees the development, training, coaching, rewarding, disciplining and mentoring of greens keepers in accordance to all departmental standards.
• Coordinates and calibrates the application of fertilizer and pesticide products.
• Diagnosis and troubleshooting of all irrigation components
• Assists in the managing and tracking of all departmental expenses, daily work duties and tasks set-forth to greens keepers and mechanics, and helps develop and initiate all special projects and capital plans.

Requirements:
Two-year Associates or four-year Bachelors degree in agronomy, turf management or related field.
Efficient working knowledge of various software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point preferred.
Minimum 3 years managerial experience in the turf management industry.
Sufficient knowledge of Toro Sitepro and OSMAC RDR irrigation systems a plus but not required.
Ability to obtain Illinois Commercial Not-For-Hire Pesticide Applicator’s License within 1 year of initial employment.
Valid driver’s license.

Compensation:
$60,000 per year.
