1st Assistant Golf Professional
Country Club in Union, Kentucky is looking for a 1st Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Assisting with the day-to-day operation of the Golf Department. The Assistant Golf Professional works closely with the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional to develop and understand the operational standards while ensuring the Golf Service Staff have the training and tools required to meet them.

Assist Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional with:
• Recruit, hire, train, delegate and supervise entire golf operations staff
• Create/Maintain a learning culture where all staff members strive to improve the club
• Ensure all staff members are adhering to “The Triple Crown Way”
• Oversee all golf related services and operations
• Plan, organize and conduct all golf events
• Implementation of policies and procedures and regular scheduling of staff meetings.
• Oversee the rental and maintenance of golf cars.
• Oversee the reservation system, starting, and monitoring of play.
• Facilitate proper controls to track and verify all players and guests, golf cars, club care, lockers, handicap fees, and all other charges.
• Enforce all rules and regulations governing golf course usage.
• Oversee the operations of the practice facility.

Direct Responsibilities:
• Train, schedule, delegate and supervise all operational activities of outside staff and Pro Shop Assistants.
• Work in conjunction with Head Golf Professional to input inventory and maintain inventory levels.
• Write and manage the schedule for Golf Services Staff.
• Be a “hands-on’ Golf Services leader by working outside the service staff.
• Work with the Head Golf Professional to plan, coordinate and conduct member golf events.
• Work with Director of Golf to plan, coordinate and conduct all PGA Junior League events.
• Plan, market and conduct group clinics for beginner golfers, junior golfers and families.
• Perform opening and closing duties golf shop duties.
• Build relationships with the members while playing golf.
• Use social networking to promote and advertise all activities.
• Promote golf club sales via club fitting.
• Act as rules officials and official scorers for all golf events.

Requirements:
3 years of experience.

Compensation:
$24,000.00 – $30,000.00 per year.
