Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Rising Sun, Maryland is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
The position will be maintaining poa annua greens, rye fairways and tees and work closely with the management team to conduct everyday tasks while providing championship conditions- on a daily basis. Tasks will include but are not limited to: planning, scheduling, performing and supervising all golf course maintenance activities including but not limited to: personnel management, water management, fertilizer and pesticide application, irrigation repair, facility maintenance and various in-house course improvement projects. Daily course setup, pest & disease identification, chemical and fertilizer calibration/applications.

Requirements:
Candidate is preferred to have completed a 2 or 4 year turf degree/related field.
Two years’ experience as an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, AIT or spray technician.
Candidates must be self-motivated.
Must be able to obtain MD pesticide license within 90 days and professional fertilizer applicator permit. Entry level computer and organizational skills.
Ability to keep detailed records of daily work, pesticide applications, and fertilizer applications.
Applicants must be assertive in nature, ambitious, highly organized, and neat
Must be an effective communicator with management, staff, and other departments
Would prefer someone from the PA, DE, MD, NJ, VA region and be willing to live no more than 30-45 minutes from property.
