Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Rising Sun, Maryland is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
The position will be maintaining poa annua greens, rye fairways and tees and work closely with the management team to conduct everyday tasks while providing championship conditions- on a daily basis. Tasks will include but are not limited to: Daily course setup, water management (measure and maintain proper moisture levels in playing surfaces), pest & disease identification, chemical and fertilizer calibration/applications. Train, schedule and oversee employees,

Requirements:
2 or 4 year degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Turfgrass Science and Management or related field preferred or candidate should be pursuing a degree or certificate.
A minimum of two years golf course experience is preferred.
Working knowledge of turf grass maintenance equipment and irrigation systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, planning and organizational skills.
Experience supervising others and leading a team, schedule assignments, and operate equipment.
Candidates must be self-motivated.
Must be able to obtain MD pesticide license within 90 days and professional fertilizer applicator permit. Entry level computer and organizational skills, Ability to keep detailed records of daily work, pesticide applications, and fertilizer applications.

Must be an effective communicator with management, staff, and other departments
Would prefer someone from the PA, DE, MD, NJ, VA region and be willing to live no more than 30-45 minutes from property.
