Director of Golf
Resort in Lexington, Kentucky is looking for a Director of Golf.

Position Overview:
The Director of Golf will oversee the performance of all golf operations, membership sales and services. The position will promote an exceptional “golf experience,” and provide excellent services and programs for all members and guests.

• Oversee the management of all golf shop operations, membership sales, and golf sales.
• Be ultimately responsible for the performance of the golf shop operations, golf services, membership sales and golf sales productivity.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise golf department staff.
• Coordinate and ensure all written correspondence, reporting, newsletters, and communications for the golf operations and membership.
• Coordinate plans for all course food and beverage needs, banquets, outside events, and catering for all golf functions.
• Follows applicable policies associated with serving alcohol at bar areas oversees food preparation and meets sanitation standards for serving food.
• Enforce all rules and regulations governing golf course usage.
• Oversee an innovative tournament program that services all customer segments.
• Oversee the golf instruction, clinics, golf schools, and golfer development programs for all customer segments.
• Oversee golf marketing initiatives including all promotional materials, the promotion of new golf memberships, play recruitment, yield management, golf packages, and outside events.
• Manages golf pro shop personnel; ensures tee times are properly scheduled, tracks shop inventory and sees that merchandise is reordered on time stocked and is in presentable condition.
• Oversee all fiscal responsibilities and performance for both the golf operations and membership sales, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, and corrective management.
• Oversee all operational policies, procedures, controls, and fee structures to ensure the safekeeping of assets, inventory and resources.
• Maintain and promote a superlative professional image with the community.

Class A PGA professional preferred.
Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
Minimum five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with computerized POS and tee time system.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Management skills.
