Summer Golf Course Intern
Golf facility in Chatham, Massachusetts is looking for a Summer Golf Course Intern.

Position Overview:
Interns work closely alongside the Superintendent in all aspects of turf maintenance. This position requires a professionally driven individual who operates with the highest expectations and efficiencies. Required to lead seasoned crew through projects, applications, and daily operations. Individual understands the requirements and demands of turf maintenance at a high-level private facility.

Responsibilities include:
• Greens Section work
• Fix ballmarks.
• Mow greens.
• Hand rake bunkers.
• Blow debris.
• Hand rake cartpaths.
• Lead small projects.
• Sod work.
• Syringe Greens.
• Trim Bunkers.
• Roll greens.
• Spot water greens/surrounds and fairways/rough.
• Walk mow tees and collars.
• Walk mow rough around greens and bunkers.
• Fill tee and fairway divots.
• Clipping disposal.
• Native work.
• Triplex mow approaches and runoffs.
• Mow fairways.
• Mow primary rough.
• Rotary mow green and tee surrounds.
• Course Set Up.
• Change cups.
• Move tee markers.
• Remove trash.
• Fill tee divots.
• Pump water from the golf course.
• Calibrate and use various spreaders.
• Apply seed, sand and fertilizer.
• Spray greens and fairways.
• Groom/verticut greens.
• Topdress greens, approaches, and tees.
• Operate aerification equipment.
• Operate tractors.
• Assist Irrigation technician with repairs and troubleshooting.
• Assist supervisors with staff training and supervision.
• Assist equipment technician with equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Assist spray technician with fertilizer and chemical applications.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements:
Enrollment in a Turfgrass Program with desire to become a Golf Course Superintendent.
Strong organizational skills are required as it relates to scheduling, budgeting, record-keeping, and leadership.

$15 per hour.
