Assistant Teaching Golf Professional
Golf Club in Wilmington, Delaware is looking for an Assistant Teaching Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
The Assistant Teaching Professional will work closely with the PGA Director of Instruction to promote and conduct golf instruction and player development programs to meet the needs/demands for all golfer segments in the local marketplace.

• Works closely with the Director of Instruction to plan and develop instruction programs that appeal to all golfer segments in the surrounding market.
• Assists in running the summer long PGA Junior Camps.
• Teaches Junior Golf Academy.
• Assists with PGA Junior League Clinics & Matches as needed.
• Provides training and development to other instructors as directed and as needed.
• Assists in the Supervision and upkeep of the practice facilities to ensure that safe, clean, organized and professional conditions exist throughout.
• Assists in keeping all teaching aids and instruction inventory in excellent condition.
• Utilize state-of-the-art teaching and learning theories, and be able to integrate the use of training aids, video tape and club fitting into the facilities instructional programs when necessary.
• Participate in administrative duties as directed and as needed to ensure smooth operation of the golf instruction program.
• Perform some of the opening and closing duties of the instruction program as directed.
• Represent the facility in the community and with local businesses through promotional activities and programs.
• Assist the Assistant General Manager in day to day activities including shop time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

PGA or LPGA Member preferred.
Must be a dedicated golf instructor with minimum 1 years related experience in golf instruction and club-fitting techniques.
Must possess exceptional communication skills.
Highly polished interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people easily and quickly.
Must be extremely organized, efficient and detail-oriented.
Must be highly motivated, goal driven and self-starter.
Knowledge of the local market is a plus.

$12.00 per hour.

Position Overview:
This position plans, promotes and directs all golf activities including daily management responsibilities. Oversees daily fee play, tournaments & outings, member play, and golf instructional programs.

Essential Functions:
• Assist with merchandising, display and cleanness of golf shop on a daily basis.
• Assist with conducting and coordinating group golf outings.
• Responsible for enforcing company golf course policies and procedures including the pace of play, dress code, number of players, etc.
• Follow department budget and maintain an accurate accounting of cash, charges, and daily reports.
• Conduct inventory audits.
• Ensure proper collection of golf fees, accounting practices and daily record keeping.
• Supervise, schedule, train, discipline and manage golf shop staff and assist with supervision of all golf guest services staff.

4 year degree or equivalent.
Previous Supervisory experience.
Previous experience in golf operation.
