Full-time Golf Course Superintendent
Resort in Rancho Mirage, California is looking for a Full-time Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
This position will coordinate the operation with the Director of Golf and the CC General Manager of the property.

Responsibilities:
• Create, implement, and execute a global maintenance plan and budget for the golf course operation.
• Coordinate and oversee all golf course construction and renovation projects
• Develop a long term property improvement plan (PIP) to include a forecast of all capital requirements of the course, equipment, and maintenance facility.
• Oversee the procurement, maintenance, operation, and utilization of all maintenance equipment and supplies.
• Oversee the process of interviewing, hiring, counseling, training, and disciplining all golf course maintenance associates in coordination with Human Resources.
• Protect the company’s interest by an awareness of and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including property and company policies.
• Work closely with the Director of Golf to coordinate course scheduling and utilization along with the implementation of cultural programs that have a guest impact.
• Attend staff meetings, manager meetings, and meet with members as required.

Requirements:
Experience in all phases of golf course management and turf culture along with a working knowledge of course renovation and construction.
A degree or advanced education pertaining to the science of golf course management.
High degree of administrative and executive ability including effective written and oral communication skills and computer proficiency.
Previous leadership capacity.
Must obtain and maintain state sanctioned pesticide application certification within 6 months of employment.
Thorough understanding of the proper use of fertilizers and their application.
Thorough understanding of the proper irrigation of turf as it relates to turf health and course conditioning.
Ability to prepare the golf course for play according to the rules of golf.
Must have a valid driver’s license.

Position Overview:
The essential function of the position within the organization is to enable each child to pursue his or her education as smoothly and completely as possible through the provision of leadership in sports and physical activities.

Primary duties:
1. Meets and provides leadership to assigned groups in the locations and at the times designated.

10. Diagnoses developmental barriers students face on a regular basis, seeking the assistance of district Athletic Directors as required.
11. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
12. Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
13. Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct and during interactions, develops reasonable rules of behavior and procedure, and maintains order in a fair and just manner.
14. Makes provision for being available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day as required/requested to do so under reasonable terms.
15. Plans and supervises purposeful assignments for assistants and volunteer(s) and, cooperatively with department heads, reflects on performance.
16. Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.
17. Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required.

Requirements:
Appropriate State of Florida professional certification as required and applicable in the form of a 3 or 5 year Certificate in Athletic Coaching (K-12) or a Temporary or Professional Educator’s Certificate.
Appropriate State of Florida professional certification as required and applicable.
CPR/First Aide Certification preferred.
Experience and/or Professional engagement in the target sport is preferred.
