Seasonal Outside Golf Services Attendant
Golf Course in Corning, California is looking for a Seasonal Outside Golf Services Attendant.

Position Overview:
The Outside Services Attendant will be the first contact to our guests and must exude enthusiasm, a friendly demeanor and the willingness to be helpful in any way possible to make our guests feel welcome and enjoy the best golfing experience anywhere
Responsibilities:
• Must arrive at work for your shift on time, in uniform, with an outstanding attitude and ready to perform the days tasks.
• Communicate effectively by means of a two-way radio.
• Will work closely with the Outside Services Supervisor to communicate with the Golf Shop staff and work as a team.
• The morning shift will follow the opening shift check list, including staging carts, preparing for any special events or tournaments, setting up the driving range, ensuring the golf area property is clean and ready for play, , and make sure we are putting out our best product each and every day.
• Responsible for shuttling golfers from the parking lot to the staging area or check in destination. Will provide information as to where the Golf Shop is located, the driving range, practice putting and chipping greens are situated, where their clubs will be placed and where the bathrooms and Starter building are located.
• Will drive the range ball picker. Range balls must be picked up, washed and restocked into the driving range ball dispenser. Additional carts will need to be staged and carts coming in from the golf course will need to be washed, restocked with sand and seed, pencil, scorecard and inspected to make sure they are always in good working order. Guests finishing their round of golf will then be either shuttled back to the parking lot with their clubs and asked if they need a ride to the golf shop, bar area or casino. If the guest does not want to immediately take their clubs to their car, their clubs will be safely kept until the guests are ready to leave.
• Welcome our golfing guests to the links, brief the golfers about all the facets of the golf course and our policies and make the first tee available to them on their assigned starting time. When it is busy there should always be a group ready to tee off on the first tee.
• Ensure that all golfers have paid for their round. Will also pair up golfers to make foursomes as often as possible (i.e. if there are two twosomes with separate but near tee times, pair them together to make one tee time to fully maximize the tee sheet for profitability and to help maintain a good pace on the course. Likewise, if there is a twosome or threesome; pair any single golfers with them to create a threesome or foursome.)
• Provide beverage and snack service at the starter shack.
• Use POS (Point of Sale) system, count money, make change, stock the starter shack and count inventory for starter shack.
• Must use tactful behavior while helping the golfers keep a four hour and 16 minute pace of play. Be visible and readily available to help our golfing guests with any pace of play issues they may have and with emergencies on the course. Our pace of play policies will be enforced to ensure all of our golfing guests have the best golfing experience anywhere.
• Will frequently report the status of the pace of play on the course to the golf shop staff, and situations that need attention, and/or emergencies.
• Must achieve his/her goal of having all golfers play in four hours or less by driving a cart around the golf course in reverse order of the holes (i.e 18, 17, 16, 15) and making contact with the golfers, asking them how they are doing and noting the pace at which they are playing. If the golfers are on pace, thank them for coming out and let them know he/she is available if they need anything. If the golfers are behind pace he/she will follow the steps listed in our “Pace of play policies” and move forward in assisting them to get back on pace.
• Ensure all golfers are teed off the first tee. Depending on how busy the traffic they will stay at the starter shack until all golfers have made the turn and close the starter shack.
• All golf carts must be washed, restocked with pencil, scorecard, seed and sand, coolers are emptied, ensure golf cars are in good working order and properly returned to the cart barn and plugged into the charger.
• Clean and account for all rental clubs.
• Clean cart barn, staging area, driving range, putting and chipping greens.
• Ensure that all golfers are off the golf course. Pick up flagsticks, return the radio to the charger, turn off lights and help lock up.
• Put away all equipment used for the day (power washer, ball washer), Make sure carts are properly stored for the evening.

Requirements:
Minimum 18 years of age and valid California driver’s license.
Must have High School Diploma or GED, outstanding customer service skills, must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, must be able to work with all types of people, and must possess the ability to multi task.
Must be able to work shifts starting at 5:00 a.m. and work closing shifts ending as late as 9:30 p.m.
Must be able to work on weekends and holidays.
Background clearance through the Paskenta Gaming Commission.
Valid driver’s license.

Compensation:
$11.00 per hour.
